Get a Taste of Spring at Whole Foods Market with Chef Tong of My Private Chef

Whole Foods Market welcomes back Executive Chef Christopher Tong of the upscale Chicago-based private gourmet dining service, My Private Chef. He will present a cooking class featuring seasonal ingredients in the on-site classroom at Whole Foods Market Lakeview, 3300 North Ashland Avenue, Chicago. The class is designed to offer hands-on experience and will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 12 noon.
The menu features:
Chilled asparagus soup with timbale of shrimp, avocado and caviar
Pesto marinated salmon fillet baked in parchment paper with seasonal julienne vegetables, shiitake mushrooms, roasted potatoes, lemon and white wine.
Fresh seasonal berries with Champagne Sabayon mousse
There will be time for questions and answers about shopping, ingredients, and preparation.
And, everyone gets a taste!
