    Chef Tong is proud to participate in this annual World of Chocolate event where the chocolate connoisseurs of Chicago gather to indulge their love of chocolate as they support a great cause. This special event is on November 29, from 6-9 p.m. at the Hilton Chicago, International Ballroom, 720 S. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL. It’s staged every year to commemorate World AIDS Day, at the dawn of the holiday season as a celebration of possibilities, in both the confectionary kitchen and the arena of global health. Discover lush concoctions from more than 40 of Chicago’s finest chocolatiers, chefs and restaurants. Attendees get to sample all the beautifully showcased chocolate creations from each vendor at elegant table presentations. There will be live entertainment, a light buffet and an open bar … along with raffle opportunities and World of Chocolate’s celebrated punchboard. General admission is $125.00. People living with cancer know that healthy eating is important for the body and the spirit. The meals in this cooking series are designed to inspire people living with cancer to eat well, serve beautiful food and stay healthy. This healthy cooking demonstration is on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 6pm at Gilda’s Club Chicago. The club is located at 537 North Wells Street, Chicago. Mark your calendar for this fun and informative event when Chef Tong will cook: Tunisian Tomato Soup with Chickpeas and Lentils. The carotenoid, Lycopene found in tomatoes (and everything made from them) has been extensively studied for its antioxidant and cancer-preventing properties.
