Soups for a Winter Day

One of Bloomingdale’s favorite chefs returns to present delicious soups from around the world.
Chef Christopher Tong of the upscale Chicago-based private gourmet dining service, My Private Chef will give tips about ingredients, then prepare and serve a variety of soups. It’s a great way to face January in Chicago!
The demonstration will take place on Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. at the Bloomingdale’s Home & Furniture Store at Medinah Temple, 600 N. Wabash Avenue, Chicago.

Leek and Stilton Cheese (England)
Brazilian Shrimp and Coconut
Tunisian Tomato with Chickpeas and Lentils topped with Greek Yogurt and Fresh Mint
People who are casual cooks or lovers of gourmet food get to ask questions, discuss preparation, and come away with fabulous recipes that you can try at home. Chef Tong will give tips on shopping, ingredients, and serving. And, everyone gets to have a taste!
